Two new apprentices from Coleg Y Cymoedd have been given the opportunity to develop a career within the aviation industry by joining AerFin’s 3-year apprenticeship programme.   Engineering Apprentice, Callun James will be combining hands-on engineering experience with a BTEC Level 3 certificate in Aero Engineering. Meanwhile, Business Apprentice, Shannon Rutter will gain first-hand experience of all areas of the business, contributing to her NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration. Simon Bayliss, Director of Operations at AerFin, said: “We’re looking forward to offering both Callun and Shannon this opportunity, allowing them to gain valuable skills and experience to support their development and growth, whilst bringing new and innovative ideas and practices into AerFin”. HR Manager, Liz Cridland, added: “This is an exciting step for both Shannan and Callun as they take the next steps in their careers in the aviation industry, apprenticeships are an excellent route into the industry, providing development and training which lead to a professional qualification and further employment opportunities. We are delighted to welcome Callun and Shannon on-board”. AerFin has been delivering apprenticeships in collaboration with Coleg Y Cymoedd since 2014.
