AerFin gains FAA Certification for Engine Maintenance Services
AerFin is pleased to announce its MRO facility in Caerphilly, UK is now an approved Repair Station by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAR 145). The accreditation is part of AerFin’s engine maintenance expansion plans, due to officially launch imminently and will see the company offer a range of in-house and off-wing maintenance activities, including quick turn services, hospital shop repairs and engine transitions. The certification further complements the company’s existing European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) accreditations. Simon Bayliss, Director of Operations at AerFin said: “This recognition is a testament to our quality control, compliance and project management work undertaken by the entire team. Investing in the training of our employees to the latest regulatory standard and in our infrastructure including OEM engine line tooling was critical in delivering this certification. This FAA approval is international recognition of our capabilities and we look forward to supporting our expanding customer base with our engine MRO services.”
